Signature Types

What types of signatures can GSIntroducers issue?

Whether you are issuing a certification to an end-user or a GSIntroducer, the restrictions remain the same.

You should not issue "generic" Type 0x10 (sig-0) Certification Signatures unless your OpenPGP application is technically incapable of issuing an appropriate Certification Signature as described here.

You must not issue "persona" Type 0x11 (sig-1) Certification Signatures from your registered key.

You must issue a Type 0x12 (sig-2) Certification Signature to indicate that the key owner authenticated with a trusted Digital ID or through some other accepted process of remote verification.

You must issue a Type 0x13 (sig-3) Certification Signature to indicate that you have met the key owner in person and witnessed appropriate and sufficient EOI.
