Thawte WoT End of Life

The Thawte Web of Trust will be discontinued effective November 16, 2009. See Thawte's Web of Trust End of Life FAQ for more information.

If you think you might ever find yourself starting or becoming involved in a WoT project that would recognize your participation in the Thawte Web of Trust, then here's a way to make sure folks know you were indeed a Thawte Web of Trust Notary. The Gossamer Spider Web of Trust recognizes Thawte Web of Trust Notaries, and will continue to do so until November 16, 2010 in regards to those Thawte Web of Trust Notaries who complete this process. The Thawte Web of Trust Notaries list will be maintained for a period of one year commencing on the date of discontinuation of the Thawte Web of Trust. The intention of the Thawte Web of Trust Notaries list is to provide the community with more time to create or find a PKI that might recognize former Thawte Web of Trust Notary status.

If your current status as a Thawte Web of Trust Notary is the only credential qualifying you for membership in the Gossamer Spider Web of Trust, you are urged to consider applying for enrollment NOW instead of submitting this form.

All submissions having been validated will remain in the care of the Gossamer Spider Web of Trust. All records, individually and collectively, will be protected to the best of our ability and not released to any third party without your explicit consent. The GSWoT administration will be happy to answer appropriate and direct inquiries regarding your status as a Thawte Web of Trust Notary prior to November 16, 2009. Contact us to request an assertion be submitted on your behalf, or to give us permission to respond to a request for an assertion. We will not respond to requests for information unless we've heard from you first. It is suggested that you maintain a copy of your Thawte certificate and corresponding keypair that matches the information provided in this form.
